Home Sweet Home

We have finally moved into our house! I feel so blessed to call this place home. I love it! Although we are moved in, there are a ton of things to get. Our first order of business is to find a couch for the back room, stools for our kitchen island and window treatments! I took some pictures of the house but try to ignore the clutter and the lack of decorating. When I get more time I will take more pictures and show you features of the house that make it awesome :)

Nico: 3 months
Nico went through his 3 month growth spurt and was waking up every two hours right after my last post that stated he was sleeping through the night. My body struggled to keep up with his feeding demands and the result was a 16 pound baby and a 5 pound weight loss for mom in one week. I am not complaining too much but I would gladly have kept those 5 pounds for a good night's sleep. What an exhausting week in the midst of our moving chaos! My mom is here visiting for the week and having her here has been a great help. Nico has become more interactive as he smiles and coos when you talk to him. He loves his grandma!

Nico has to taste everything these days

Nico still loves his changing table

A special shot out and thanks to Renee', Kathryn and Jenn for coming over to the house to hold and occupy Nico while I unpacked and cleaned.  Love you guys!

Counting the hours

Week 25
House news:
Our move-in day is almost here! A lot of random little things got done this week. Jim was busy installing closet cabinetry, the double oven, the hood over the stove top, the refrigerator and putting handles on all of our cabinets. On this coming Monday our kitchen backsplash will be tiled and the plumbers will come in to fix a few things. On Tuesday we are hoping to have the final coat of the floor laid down. Once the floor is dry we will get a cleaning crew to wipe away all the dry wall dust. AND THEN WE MOVE IN! Over the past month I have been moving boxes to our basement so the process has already been started.

Jim installed the double oven, handles and range hood

Jim also worked hard to install and put panels on the refrigerator
The staircase is done

Nico: 11 weeks
Nico unofficially weighs 15 pounds...what a big boy he is becoming! To my delight Nico slept through the night 4 out of the past 6 nights. I put him down to sleep around 9p and he sleeps until 5:30a. At 5:30a he takes a quick feeding and then sleeps for another two hours. This extra sleep has been bliss!

This week Nico started to constantly chew on his lower lip

The reserves in Nico's cheeks has allowed him to sleep through the night :)

It may not look like it here but Nico is getting much better at sitting up

Moccasins and a Batman t-shirt

Nico has accompanied me on many lunch dates

Light at the end of the tunnel

Week 24
House news:
Once again a lot of things happened at once this past week. We now have working HVAC and plumbing! Sinks, toilets, bathroom fixtures, granite countertops, lighting and most of our appliances were installed. There are still odds and ends things that need to be accomplished this week and then the floors will be the last thing done.
